This small, seven-barrel cuvée, named in honor of proprietor Giorgio Furioso’s mother, is meant to represent the more structured side of our Trovato Vineyard in Yamhill. This wine is 100% free-run juice and was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 40% new and 60% one-year old - resulting in a bolder, more complex wine. On the nose the wine displays aromas of blueberry, pomegranate, hay and bay leaf. To accompany this are whiffs of dusty spice, dried rose, and jasmine-green tea. In the mouth, Anna offers broad, chalky tannins plus flavors of cranberry and sour cherry. The juicy structure builds up to a dry finish, with lingering hints of black tea and red apple.
