2021 Rosé of Pinot Noir

The fruit for our rosé is typically the first fruit of the season we bring in, to preserve as much freshness in the resulting wine as possible. In the summer of 2021, the Willamette Valley saw multiple record breaking heat waves, spiking sugars in the fruit. But as harvest neared we also enjoyed significantly cooler nighttime temperatures, preserving balance and acidity. This vintage’s rosé tells a similar story - a lush, fuller-bodied (but still dry!) palate, backed by juicy acidity and texture. The nose is full of red cherry, strawberry, and green apple, while the mouth brings raspberry and grapefruit. This wine is perfect as an aperitif, or with an herbed watermelon and goat cheese salad.
